Last month my bf of 3 years called it quits… I am completely lost for words. I thought that after a few weeks I would come to my sense but whenever I see him with my friends or on facebook I die a little inside. I just have no idea why he would wan to leave me or how to get him back.

I really need my ex bf back in my life because it just seems empty without him. I can’t seem to get a grip on reality at the moment  - you turn on the radio and all you can think of is the breakup… dam radio.

So I have basically turned to working and running to keep my mind busy so that I can move on with life. I am thinking that it might just take a year to get over this one. The annoying thing thing about this whole experience is that he seems to be fine.

I seem to have a lot of hate for him just as much as I love him – it’s crazy.

I am frustrated because he said that he loved me like the week before he left. I just don’t understand guys, how can he come in and out of feelings like that…

Perhaps he met another women and cheated on me? If that’s the case I don’t want him anywhere near me. I feel like I’m in a real rough spot right now. I just can’t seem to focus on anything other than getting him back into my life.

If I am able to do this then I feel like everything will go back to normal again like it was.

We had been going out for 3 whole years and had got to know each other SO WELL. I thought that he wanted to get married at some stage but it seems that all that was a lie.

I should really figure out why he left so I can get some closure on this whole thing.

But first I will do my best to convince him that I’m worth a second chance and that I really do love him.

Maybe he got bored of the relationship?

Maybe he thought that he was better than me?

Or that he was heading in a different direction…

Either way I think I’ll write him a letter letting him know that I would like to hang out some time and discuss what happened…just so that I can figure out why he left. That way if he really doesn’t want to get back into my life at least he could spare some advice on how to stop a relationship falling apart.

I did send that letter (written) and he rang me up and we chatted for a bit about the situation. It turns out that he just felt to pressured by me to be a certain way… He said that he lost part of himself that he loved. He said that he felt that I didn’t approve of him going out with his friends anymore and that if I couldn’t trust him to be able to do that there is no way he wanted to go out with me.

I had no idea that I was being so controlling – I just wanted to protect him and myself I guess.

I’m planning to sort out this part of me that wants to control guys so much that they end up running.

I still have hopes that he will come back.
